Plan the Details That Affect Cost, Feel, and Production
Before quoting, we help buyers define the specifications that shape card performance, retail presentation, and bulk manufacturing feasibility.
Card Size
Poker, bridge, tarot, mini, square, round, or custom die-cut sizes affect handling, artwork layout, and tooling.
Card Count
Deck count affects box size, paper usage, assembly method, carton packing, and final shipping volume.
Paper & Core
Cardstock, blue core, black core, specialty paper, PVC, and plastic change opacity, stiffness, shuffle feel, and durability.
Surface Finish
Matte, gloss, linen, spot UV, foil, embossing, and gilded edges influence touch, glare, luxury feel, and production steps.
Box Structure
Tuck boxes, rigid boxes, magnetic boxes, brick boxes, and display boxes change retail presentation and unit cost.
Inserts & Sets
Guidebooks, booklets, dividers, stickers, uncut sheets, and sleeves should be planned before sampling.
Artwork Files
Artwork File Requirements and Print Risk Checks
Send print-ready files so our team can review color, bleed, layers, and special finishes before production. Clear artwork preparation reduces sampling delays and bulk production risk.
- Print-ready PDF, AI, or PSD files
- 300 DPI resolution with CMYK color mode
- 3mm bleed and safe margin inside
- Outlined fonts and embedded images
- Separate layers for foil, spot UV, or embossing
- Back and front artwork for each card
RGB to CMYK Shift
Bright screen colors may print less vivid in CMYK. For strict brand colors, provide Pantone references or physical color samples.
Bleed & Safe Area
Artwork too close to the edge can be trimmed during die-cutting. Keep text, borders, and symbols inside the safe margin.
Special Finish Layers
Foil, spot UV, embossing, debossing, and gilding need separate clearly named layers for position checking.
Small Text & Icons
Training, game, and tarot cards often contain small details. Use high-resolution artwork and avoid ultra-thin lines.
